Symposium and book release
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences organizes a symposium on the Early History of Experimental Phonetics, in Stockholm, on the 25 May 2023.
The symposium addresses the general relationship between Humanities and the Natural Sciences from about mid 1800s and the next 100 years, leading to the emergence of Experimental Phonetics as a novel scientific discipline exploring Natural Sciences’ methodologies and knowledge to investigate human speech communication. The symposium is directed to a wide audience with general interest in History of Science and/or Phonetics.
Location: The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Lilla Frescativägen 4A, SE-114 18 Stockholm.
